Well stitchers we are still at it......meeting via Zoom. But thank goodness for that port in this storm of a global pandemic!
April is our Annual Business Meeting. President Joan T. called the meeting to order and called for reports from each committee chair.
- Minutes - There were no minutes from the previous business meeting
- Treasurer's Report - Read and accepted
- Membership - Current membership's expire at the end of May. The renewal form was attached to the meeting notice and will be attached to this meeting's newsletter. Dues remains at $46 per year. Complete the form and return to Caryl C. no later than May 15th. Checks should be made payable to "Lamplighters EGA". Caryl will coordinate with Robin the registrations and payments and they will complete and file the necessary papers with Regional for the membership renewals.
- Publicity - Currently use Facebook and our blog for publicity. The blog also acts as an archive for the history of our meetings.
- Outreach - N/A
- Library - N/A
- Regional - Marian reported on the March 20, 2021 Regional EGA Meeting.
- Expect an email from Donna Pence which will include a poll about the types of classes you are interested in
- By-Laws - we are required to review and submit our By-Laws to Regional in 2022. A committee will be formed and the By-Laws reviewed and prepared for submission to Regional
- MAR PRIDE - Forms are on the EGA website to submit for reimbursement for classes taken.
- Camp WannaStitch - Is tentatively on schedule for January 2022. More information and confirmation will follow closer to the date.
- Needlework Shop Affilliation - EGA offers a program for needlework shops and stores to partner with EGA. For a fee from the shop, EGA will provide them advertising space in the NeedleArts Magazine
- Regional Meeting - The next Regional Meeting will be in October in Wilmington, DE. Part of the meeting will include a take home project using over-dyed threads.
- Sunshine - Please let Caryl know if any member is ill, etc. and Caryl will make sure they receive a card from Lamplighters
- Classes/Programming - Linda continues to put together great programs for our meetings. If you have anything you would like to learn or have a suggestion for a meeting, please let Linda know.

Our 2021 Challenge continues. Members are encouraged to stitch an EGA project during 2021 and share it at a monthly meeting.
Upcoming meetings -
May Meeting will feature designer Catherine Jordan as our speaker. The meeting will start promptly at 6:45 pm with Catherine Jordan speaking first. She will be discussing her creative process for her charts and how she creates her map charts. Prior to the meeting, each member will receive a complimentary pdf chart via email from Catherine. The discussion will be one hour and following Q & A, we will have our meeting. There will be NO Show and Tell at the May Meeting
June Meeting - Ladies this one could be in person! Pat L. has offered her patio to host our June Meeting. This will be confirmed closer to the day and according to all the CDC guidelines at the time.
Christmas in July - This is scheduled for July 10th. Approximately 16 people are expected. Caryl will send out the list of who has signed up and who has paid to date. This is the Christmas in July originally scheduled for 2020. More information with follow if it is possible to work out details.
September - Following our summer break, in September we will work on the finishing of the Theresa Baird BeeLieve Strawberry. The free pattern is available from her website - Hearts Ease Exemplar Workes.
