Let's get stitching!

Congratulations to our our Woodlawn Winners.
Members Stacy S. and Marian S. both won ribbons at the 2019 Woodlawn Needlework Show.

This is a band sampler SAL from Lauren Sauer that was stitched by Stacy S.

There was a little confusion on my part and I apologize to Marian that I did not get photos of her pieces.   (if possible, please email them to me and I will add here.   Thx, RT)  Marian won three 3rd place ribbons, one each for Elizabeth, Thru the Garden Gate and Day into Night.

From our March Meeting - Marian S taught Huck Embroidery.   Here are some of the completed towels.   Top - Joan T., middle - Linda W. and bottom - KarenAnn

Other business discussed -
  • Membership renewals are due in May.   The cost is $46 per member.  Remember, carry your EGA Member card with you when you shop.   Many needlework stores offer discounts to members.
  • FaceBook - our Facebook page was discussed.   We will be opening the page for others to become members.   Caryl C. will establish questions to be answered before allowing others to become followers of our page.   If we find this doesn't not work to our advantage the page will be shut down to Lamplighter members only.
  • Bookmarks - Robin T. created Lamplighter's EGA bookmarks to share.   These will be great to have at our library displays, etc. especially if any visitors have interest in joining Lamplighters.    Joan will get approval from national and then we will share.
