January 2021 Meeting

Happy New Year and Happy Stitching.  

President Joan T. welcomed everyone to the New Year and the meeting.   We had 14 members in our Zoom Meeting this month.  Joan reminded members to check their email inboxes for from emails from MAR (Mid-Atlantic Region) and National.  Membership Chair, Robin will forward the recently received emails to the new members asking that they confirm they are receiving the emails directly.  If they are not receiving the emails directly,  Robin will send an email to the Regional Membership Chair to hopefully correct their issue.

Members discussed and shared what New Year's project they have started.  

The EGA website is a great resource.   There are projects, tips, SAL's, tutorials, videos and a lecture series.   You need to log in with your name and password to access the features.

Using their website is just what you need for our 2021 Lamplighters Challenge.    This year members are challenged to complete EGA projects.   For each project completed, your name will be placed in a drawing to be held at the January 2022 Meeting.   Two members finished EGA projects this month and had their names entered into the drawing.  Good time to finish some of those Christmas in July projects!

Regional Meeting - Regional will be holding a Zoom Meeting for the drawing of the baskets and the quilt.   Marian will be participating and will notify if any members are winners!

Treasurer's Report -  Caryl C. shared our account balance.

February Meeting - We will have a speaker from the Smithsonian for our February Zoom Meeting.  

Show 'n Tell - Members shared their photos of completed projects that were shared via a slide shop.

This month's program - Member Robin T. told us about her crafts and hobbies and shared her storage and craft room ideas using her pictures in a slide show created by Caryl C.
