September 2025

Our meeting was called to order and all were welcomed back after our Summer Haitus!   We had three guests attending the meeting and hopefully they will be interested in joining.

Committee Reports were shared.

Membership is currently at 31.  All members who have not renewed their membership have been contacted.  All who signed up for more information at the Salem County Fair in August were invited to the meeting.

Outreach

     -     Joan thanked all who assisted with manning the needlework table at the Salem County Fair

    -  Barbara G and Gwynne G knitted and donated 8 baby blankets for the Vineland Maternity Hospital.

    -    We will be decorating the Christmas Tree at the Woodstown Library before the Woodstown Christmas Tour.  More information will follow.

    - We are also starting a collection of canned for the needy.   Please bring non-perishables to each meeting for collection to help those in need.

  - We are in need of a person for Outreach.   If interested, please talk to Joan.

Retreat - Stacy spoke to the group to survey for any interest in arranging a retreat for Lamplighters.   She provided a brief overview and answered questions.   If there is enough interest, more information will follow.

America’s Tapestry - Becky updated everyone on the status of the Delaware Tapestry which she is co-managing. Please check out the website at https://www.americastapestry.com/ The site explains the concept as well as has links to each of the 13 tapestries. The stories for each colony are interesting. There was also an interview on Fiber Talk with Gary Parr and Stefan Romero who has brought this concept to life. Amy G and Becky G (a former Lamplighter and a current Lamplighter) are spearheading the Delaware Tapestry and have put together a lot of information. They have a Facebook page with their stitching schedule and locations.

Robin T is willing to host monthly stitch-ins at her home in Carney’s Point for stitching on the Delaware Tapestry. She will work with Becky and Amy to set a schedule for stitching on the Delaware’s Tapestry. We will meet at her home, from 1 to 4, a couple times a month. Once dates are secured those who are interested will be notified.

Pat L met with stitchers in Burlington County to work on the New Jersey tapestry. They are working on their tapestry on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday each week. The contact for

NJ America’s Tapestry is Kiki. Her email is kikilar@comcast.net.

Show ‘n Share.  We had a TON of beautiful stitched that was shared.
