Meeting
President Joan T. announced that Membership Chair Katie K. will be stepping down. Joan outlined the duties of Membership Chair and asked all to consider taking the post. Please let Joan know at the September Meeting if you would like to take on the position.
Our 2017/2018 Challenge will end in June. Any WIP's that you have complete during this year should be listed and shared.
Since we received the $500 grant from National dedicated to teaching, we were asked to think of teachers for a future class. Many ideas were shared and suggestions offered. Put your thinking caps on and bring your suggestions to the next meeting. Some are doing the background work on teachers, classes and cost. Information will be shared and a decision made next fall for who class/teacher we will bring in.
We agreed we will again do a display at the Gloucester County Library. More information will follow at future meetings. As for our last display, information was sent to NeedleArts Magazine. Look for an article in an upcoming NeedleArts Magazine featuring Lamplighters!
Marion shared information on the Regional Meeting. Our Guild had TWO winners of the basket raffle. Marion and Karen K. each won baskets.
This is part of what was in Marion's basket.
Marion also shared this cute wool pattern that she made at Regional. Could be a future meeting project!
At next month's meeting BJ S. will teach us how to make stitched candy pieces. BJ will provide the necessary ribbon and threads. Stitchers should bring sharp needles, scissors, beads for embellishing, and fiberfill. No calorie chocolates. There is no charge for this class.

More from BJ. Tins that open to reveal pin cushions and scissors with fobs.
Reticello by BJ. BJ sure was a stitching wonder while in Florida this year.
Caryl C. knitted this cute set for an upcoming shower. She told us she knitted up the same pattern years (31) ago for the dad of this soon to be born precious one.
Caryl also stitched this baby blanket for one special little baby.
This was also stitched by Deb N. I think we all remember watching Bob Ross on PBS! How cool.
Another great meeting ladies! Looking forward to next month and those no calorie chocolates!
Christmas in July will be Saturday, July 21st. We will have three teachers and three holiday themed projects. Sign-up by the June meeting. The cost is $20. The class is all day. Please bring a packed lunch.
In September we will start the Christmas Tree featured in the December 2017 NeedleArts Magazine. Make sure you sign up by the June Meeting and bring your December 2017 magazine to the September meeting. This should be a fun stitch and a great introduction to canvas work for some.
